Bratislava, 23 June 2016 - Construction has begun on the successful Čerešne family housing project in which more than 100 flats have already been sold. The project developer, ITB Development a.s., signed the highly reputable construction firm GEMO SLOVENSKO, spol. s r.o. as the general contractor. Construction work will be in full swing in the coming days.
The project in Bratislava Polianky will be composed of five buildings grouped around a private courtyard serving as a space for relaxation and recreation. ‘The Čerešne project is designed to create a community of residents and to strengthen good relations between neighbours’, said Ivan Rolný from ITB Development. ‘The prerequisite for the formation of such an environment is a combination of the originality and practicality of the architecture and high quality construction, which is why a heavy emphasis was placed on selecting the right general contractor. GEMO Group, a large and strong company led by professionals, has built numerous fine residential and commercial projects, which for us is a guarantee that the work will be delivered on time and in the desired high quality’.
GEMO SLOVENSKO is a member of the GEMO Group, which has been active on the Czech and Slovak construction market for 26 years. The Group has built more than 980 projects with a total value of more than EUR 1.4 billion, many of which received ‘building of the year’ awards in the Czech Republic. ‘We are familiar with the projects ITB has built and know that they place high demands on quality and a professional approach. We share these same values and are confident that our portfolio of projects is a good foundation for successful cooperation’, said Ing. Jaromír Uhýrek, executive director of GEMO, upon the signing of the contract.
The contract was signed by both parties on 22 June 2016 and the beginning of construction work is scheduled for the coming days.
Čerešne has a carefully chosen location in a quiet and green setting but with convenient access to the motorway. Comprehensive services in the form of schools, nursery schools, supermarkets and even a swimming pool and ice rink are located within walking distance. A total of 1,121 m2 of space is planned in the buildings for services, including a children’s centre. The interesting architectural design works well with the local environment. The residential buildings are designed to form a closed inner block with a common courtyard with a playground, community gardens and lots of greenery. The buildings are intentionally individualised to give owners the opportunity not only to choose the position of their unit but also the exterior appearance of their building.
