Last autumn VGP and GEMO concluded an agreement on long-term cooperation in the implementation of the “Olomouc Technology Park”.
VGP plans within phase I of the park with a size of 480,000 m2 to build on the successful work of the original developer of the site and to build production facilities with a total leasable area of 230,000 m2. Approximately 10,000 m2 is currently prepared for lease in Hall G2, and another 10,000 m2 is under construction (the shell of the building is nearing completion.
The signing of the agreement creates close cooperation between two prominent partners - the stable construction and development firm of GEMO and the successful international development group of VGP. VGP focuses on the construction and lease of industrial real estate for manufacturing and logistics firms and also provides related real estate services.
Both parties promise that their collaboration will lead to the faster development of the park and its gradual lease to successful firms offering the region new employment opportunities, modern technology, higher work productivity, a dynamic environment for starting greater innovation activity in the local business environment and overall support for increasing the competitiveness of the regional economy. Upon completion, the park will be a major asset for the entire Olomouc Region.
The “Olomouc Technology Park” is located at the southwest edge of Olomouc near the town of Hněvotín, in close proximity to the R46 and R35 highways to Brno, Ostrava and Hradec Králové, at exit 37. The site is intended for investments primarily in the fields of innovative clean technologies, processing and light manufacturing, strategic services, shared service centres, warehouse and storages facilities.
The park can be reached by freight, car and public regional bus transport, the site is also connected to all utilities.
